After his remix for Norman's "Afro Bug e.p." Harry Axt finally made his own e.p for Relax2000 records, which show two different sides of Axt techno. He recently released his debut LP, entitled "Planet Axt" on Berlin label Rompecabeza and has also previously released on Grand Petrol (including his great Zeitsprung track), Kiddaz FM and Style Rockets. Side A: "Wiscuts" builds up through it's offbeat bass groove, directed straight at the dancefloor, panicked sounds incessantly stab from the top end whilst alien atmospheres descend from above. Side B:The aptly named "She is different" wobbles and bumps along, pitchshifting pianos rub against deep bass and tricky percussion . Off kilter female vocals and stuttering samples confirm that she is definitely different.
