TIC TAC TOE RECORDS – the new Danish label for high end productions in the minimal house/techno neighbourhood – is proud to present it's first release The Danish Duo Hansen & DJ Daniel have been at it together for almost ten years. Since 1995 they have made their mark on an ever more interesting Danish house/techno-scene with a distinct, danceable minimalism ranging between the quirky rawness and the mellow smoothness. As Huebsch Originators they released memorable EPs on Multiplex and Mosaic and a ditto album on April. And in their current incarnation they have already won acclaim with sublime releases on Special Ed, Mosaic and Trapez. On this edition, the talent of Danish singer Jakob Kosteljanetz adds extra layers to their distinct sound. DJ Daniel is an institution in Danish house and techno. As host on a weekly show on national Danish radio, as DJ in venues all over Denmark and Northern Europe, and as the man behind multiple small as well as large scale events, he is a huge contributor to a Danish scene that has expanded and grown into something more creative and lively than ever. By himself, Daniel has also released on Echocord and another Copenhagen newcomer 3rd Floor. Hansen is a technical master mind with years and years of experience and a score of releases producing pop music and industrial. This release also employs the remixing talents of: Ozy - THE most important electronic producer out of Iceland with numerous releases on Thule, Force Inc and Trapez. Ozy deals in the clicky neighbourhood of micro/techhouse and is renowned for his own special blend of sound, diverse musical styles and fruity offbeat swing. Gabriel Ananda – hailing out of Cologne, Gabriel Ananda has developed into one of the very heavy aces on the German electronic scene. Cofounder of Karmarouge, Ananda has also released on Platzhirsch, Festplatten, Tonsport and Trapez – and his Süssholz EP on Treibstoff recently became #1 on the Groove Magazine top 50. His unique productions transcend categories but are always very danceable. Tic Tac Toe Records has only just begun. Our aim is a primary (but not exclusive) focus on all the interesting minimal house/techno talents, that Denmark has to offer – with some high class remixing talents thrown in for good measure. Upcoming releases introduce Danish upcoming gem Theodor Zox (remixed by Brian Aneurysm) and the developed styles of Canadians Mike Shannon (Cynosure) and Jeff Milligan (Revolver) – here under the alias of Sid Dithers vs. Johnny la Rue.
