We presented you with this Dallas, Texas hero and his brilliant remix of Theodor Zox's ‘Extruder' on TTT011 this spring – a remix we, by the way, were very happy to license to Tiefschwarz's Fabric 29 mix CD. Now, we give you a full EP of primo stuff straight from Maetrik's twisted brain. He's been fusing house, techno and electro into his own unique blend for a decade and has already proved his versatility in shaping beats and sound forms on an impressive back catalogue of releases on Treibstoff, SubStatic, Stil vor Talent and more. A: The Prophecy This is an outstanding dark, quirky, evilish electro/tech track as only Maetrik can do. Looming, twisted and pushing electro beats under spacey noises and an evil dark male vocal commenting the minimal mafia. This is peak-hour dancefloor action, that has been heavily tested by several respected DJ's. It has to blow off the roof of every club where this was played. Dance if you dare, motherfucker! B: Innovation Fascination The B side is a slateful of dark 4 to the floor bassline driven action the Maetrik techno way. The dark voice is back – accompanied by the deep bassline, lots of spinning noises and general weirdness. This track fucks your head up. It has also proven to tear several clubs apart, world-wide.
