Stroboscopic Artefacts presents the Monad series. Rarefied and introspective, confrontational and extreme, each featured artist will delve into the Monad concept: "The generation of number series is related to objects of geometry as well as cosmogony. From the Monad evolved the Dyad; from it numbers; from numbers, points; then lines, two-dimensional entities, three-dimensional entities, bodies, culminating in the four elements earth, water, fire and air, from which the rest of our world is built up." Markus Suckut's Monad VI is filled with iridescence. This is techno with sub aqueous sensibilities. The bass lines wander into dub territory and deep, nautical techno emerges. With track titles including "Cosmos" and "Wormhole" it's clear that this EP has ambition. Using a palette that shimmers with a dark brilliance Markus Suckut questions the limits of what the Monad could possibly mean, and in doing so he seamlessly fuses the ecstatic with the esoteric. Mnml Ssgs The last cut from Monad VI, 'Cosmos', is very impressive. one of the best tracks to come out on SA so far. Nightcode Magazine Solid release, again. 'Pulse' is the one for me. I love how it keeps on going and going and going. Spacer! TEA Dark emotive techno, enjoying the austerity of it all. Illectronic Monad VI serves up a liberal helping of dark dread spread across the linear dancefloor minimalism of Parsec and Pulse, through the subdued atmospheric tone of Wormhole, to the eerie (largely) beatless vibes of Cosmos which brings the release to a close and leaves you hungry for more. Soundrevolt I wasn't into the Monad series but this release is great! Tsugi Nice. Samurai FM (Dave Twomey aka TR NCH) Really dig Wormhole...Cosmos is also massively hot, too. will support for sure... CFBU Radio (Philip Downey) I like Pulse. Wormhole is good too. Dinamo FM I think this is one of the best in the series. I will play all. Berlin Mitte Institut 5/5 The Monad series sticks to its epic techno-ambient path, Nevertheless this release is one of the series highlights yet, because it combines a more interesting drumwork with drones and atmospheres.
