In a few minutes the sun will disappear in the sea… „Welcome home, bienvenue au café abstrait" With these scenes of easy-going summer days, Raphaël Marionneau opens the 7th issue of his legendary compilation series to continue his musical journey through the seasons. The last chapter "le café abstrait vol. 6" was about spring („le printemps") and autumn („l'automne"). This time, the "father of couch culture" , takes us to the summer ("l'été") and winter ("l'hiver"). "le café abstrait" is a high-contrast double album full of new pearls of the international down-tempo scene – ranging from spheric electronica to more classic shades – inviting to relax and dream. „l'été" On „l'été" the exile frenchman presents a selection of 14 tracks, that bring up the images of a light-hearted summer. The dinner with good friends in the garden. The long walk through purple shining fields of lavender. The sun-drenched grove of pine-trees on the steep coast. The azure blue sea… Please check out Coastline („Adriatic Sea"), Jens Buchert („Vibes Deluxe") or Sinatic („Sunset Beach") – promising protagonists of the international downtempo scene, discovered and chosen by Raphael on his long research. „l'hiver" On „l'hiver" Raphaël takes us to the quiet, melancholic world of the winter season. Tracks by Frédéric Charpagne („Mediolanum"), Leonard North („Na Vi") and Murya („Gray Daze") fit just perfect to the crackling fire in the chimney and some hot tea and give us the opportunity to calm down in a loud and hectic world. "l'hiver" is full of tight, organic and atmospheric facets of sound, which transport a feeling of well-being. 13 years after Raphaël's first "le café abstrait" event at Mojo Club Hamburg and 10 years after the start of the same named compilation series, abstrait is a synonym for high quality chill-out sound, which is not addicted to trends, but to Raphaël's outstanding feeling for timeless quality. Just like the white airship, the emblem of Raphaël's "le café abstrait", his music keeps moving constantly. And as long as the world continues to bring up new talented producers whose tracks reflect the soul of "le café abstrait", this is not going to change…
