TIC TAC TOE RECORDS - The Danish label for top-notch minimal house & techno – presents a new fantastic release by Cant. Cant is already a household name for the Tic Tac Toe buyers, known as Hansen – the one half of Hansen & DJ Daniel. He is a technical mastermind that has produced music since God knows when – and he doesn't limit himself to the boundaries of electronic dance music. Hansen has produced and released rock, pop, ambient and experimental records, and is also quite a name on the industrial scene, where he produces under his 'Unveiled' moniker, releasing on labels such as World Serpent. Getting the right guy to do the remix is always a challenging task. This time we got help from our Philly-based friends at FoundSound who provided us with French expatriate Cyhl aka. Fusiphorm. He's been US-based since 1999 and has been DJing consistently in Philadelphia, New Jersey and New York City ever since. His established talent and unique blend of jazzy downtempo grooves and floor-pumping minimal techno has also brought on tours throughout the US and to Europe. Camels: On TTT007 Cant gave us ‘Reach For It', a track that focused on the drummy and oldschoolish technoid sound. This time though, he ventures onto different paths: An 11-minute journey of outrageous sounds that just keeps building and building. A blend of beautiful melancholic melodies and a lo-fi-but-still-immaculate quality that is sure to make the hairs on your arm stand straight, this track will truly move any floor in those late morning hours – or just your mood and mind when played on the system at home. Camels (Fusiphorm Remix): Cyhls style can be described as on the ‘in your face' minimal side – and this is certainly what he delivered for this remix. Fusiphorm has turned the more deep-ish original track and turned it into a straight-up pumping minimal piece of funkiness that is sure to move minimal party-bootys on the prep for primetime action.
