Mixing ghosts, parties, vodka, lasers, catchy beats and a bit of street rioting sounds a lot like fun. That's the idea of the audio assault on "Bulletdodger", the debut EP for Mexican duo Ghost Riots. While the DJs' live set is heavily charged with fidget, hardtechno and nü rave style, their first release seems to play nicely with lots of rhythms and genres that may sound far away from their original sound, but is the perfect start for one of the heaviest ensembles from Never Stop Music. With an insane production from Moises Ramirez (Blackout), Ghost Riots first EP is a new indie/electro revolution that promises to dance through your mind for a while. Duck Out the EP opener, brings instantaneously the sense of what Ghost Riots is all about. Industrial glitchy basses and a darker vibe that feels like a saw cutting through everyone's thoughts. Bulletdodger is born as the EP's fresher song; fully loaded with catchy beats evolving through the song and a pumping set of spacey sounds gets the audience immediately the idea of what the EP is going to be about. Four Fingers is an edgy track that gives a diverse flavor to the EP. The tune brings an hypnotic/frenetic bass that makes a perfect complement to the repetitive lyrics and the intense percussions. End of the Data could be one of the most experimental songs of the EP, in which glitchy basses and synths mix perfectly into a banger "cumbia" that will get the listeners to loop it to infinity. Duck Out (Andre VII Remix) stands as a techie tune remixed with a lot of hard and cutting-edge style, charged with deep drums and outstanding build-ups very peculiar of Andre VII's production techniques. Bulletdodger (Damn Disko Remix) blends from raging house synths and electrifying basses into a massive electro remix that feels totally as a whole new version of the EP's single, keeping a nice arrangement of the song's lyrics.
