The paths of Jakob from Berlin and Franziskus from Erfurt crossed whilst they were both studying to be sound engineers. Seeing as all the other students in their year were long haired Metal heads it was only a matter of time until their paths crossed. So, after spending a few long Berlin party nights together they decided to see if they could start a project together: Format:B was born! Their unique groovy tech-house sound led to numerous chart hits and the great success was crowned by the release of their album "Restless" this year, which again thrilled fans and reviewers and achieved top chart positions again. Besides touring the world to bring happiness to the dancefloors across the globe, the guys found some time to do this awesome mix for the Raveline Mix Session series. Enjoy!

Remixes for Underworld, Chemical Brothers or Depeche Mode, collaborations with Dubfire and fifteen years of running the famous imprint Confused Recordings don't need further explanation. Oliver started a new chapter with founding the new label Ideal Audio back in 2008. This year he already released his fourth studio album "Paranoia", which again demonstrates why he is one of the most revered producers in the scene who is unrivalled in his ability to construct deceptively intricate yet powerful songs. Once again he has delivered a compelling and memorable album, which keeps drawing the listener back into its darkest depths again and again. Wildly diverse, infused with exuberance and inspired by a slap of the absurd, Modeselektor's inarguable grooves seem to emanate from every conceivable musical genre, creating a controlled chaos whose sonic expression elevates the eyebrows and heartbeats of critics and dance floors around the world. Boundary breaking' is a phrase that today almost every artist wants to claim, however Modeselektor's description as such does not come as an afterthought or marketing ploy. The idea of breaking boundaries permeates their music because this dissolution of cultural borders is ingrained in their very identities. The electronic production team of Gernot Bronsert and Sebastian Szary came of age in Berlin shortly after the fall of the infamous Wall in 1989. After trying out the name Fundamental Knowledge, the duo soon found a moniker with a better fit: Modeselektor, taken from a function on the Roland RE-201 space echo analog delay effects unit. In 2001 Modeselektor met Ellen Allien who quickly signed the promising minds to her label BPitch Control, one of the most highly respected techno labels in the world. The catapult was loaded. After numerous singles, Eps, remixes and 2 albums, Modeselektor just released their third full-length album Monkeytown. Flowing freely between styles and tempos, Monkeytown experiments with the edges and extremes, exploring fresh sonic territory from a solid base of beats located deep within the groove. With massive drums, minced vocals and a mastery of mounting tension, Modeselektor creates a new animal out of dance music, a mutating chimera with body parts of left-field hip hop, soulful R&B, punk rap and playful surprises. The charismatic jock, producer and techno‐connoisseur from Dortmund knows how to ban a crowd and let that magic happen, that is folded in the shells of electronic music. Looking back on already very successful career, Oliver has spent a massive part of his time travelling around the globe at the request of world's most famous clubs, like London's famous "The Gallery" (where he was resident for 4 years), "D‐Edge" in Sao Paolo, "Crobar" in Miami or the world‐renowned "Tribehouse" where he shaked the masses from ground to ceiling. This year in march, Japan was shocked by a heavy earthquake and the following tsunami left massive damage. We proudly announce that the first lady of techno Gayle San joined the DigDis roster with her brand new imprint GSR. Gayle Sans career already began in the late 80s in her hometown Singapore. Leaving in 1988,to pursue her dj career in the UK, nobody expected such a massive success for Gayle in the music business. Gayle's first steps into the London clubs were via DJing at record company parties, various one-off guest spots and fashion shows. Having honed her DJing skills and broadened her understanding of music, Gayle began to experiment with the harder side of dance music soon, particularly the lesser known techno sounds coming into Britain from Europe and the US of that time and so she laid foundation for an incredible international career. Later on, her DJing naturally led to various studio work and starting her own label Equator. Gayle has developed a sound that takes the intelligent beats of the underground, funky/hard/groove techno sound mixed with her very own style. Gayle loves producing on her own but also enjoys collaborations with other producers to absorb outside creativity. She has released on numerous labels throughout europe, but now it¥s time to start an own record label again. Attempted by so many people vainly, Dominik Eulberg is the one who can claim for himself having reconciled ornithology and techno successfully. Dominik Eulberg, raving ornithologist from the Westerwald is both: an international booked DJ in spotlight and an observer of the domestic Flora and Fauna in quiescence – a master of reconciled contradictions. Since he released his first disc in 2003 on Traum Schallplatten, the superior producer disperses ecological expertise and the sound of chirping birds in his tracks. He uses nature as a contentual and dramaturgical source of inspiration for his productions since 1993. A walk in the woods – this is Dominik's Blueprint for exciting music, because "there you never know what is expecting you behind the next junction". In the forest some rustle in the coppice can turn into a hookline: every single sound is important and endows the tracks with the necessary vitality the dancefloor needs. After spending two amazing seasons at El Divino a few years ago, we were itching for a return. Yep we’re back in Ibiza. And this time we’re doing it with Manchester giants, Sankeys.
Sankeys has consistently been Manchester’s finest nightclub since 1994 and celebrates its 17th birthday this month. It was voted the number one club in the world by DJ Mag last year and continues to be one of the most pioneering and forward-thinking nightspots on the planet.
As part of a new mission to create "Seven Sankeys of the World" by 2015, this welcome addition to Ibiza’s clubscape opened to widespread acclaim at the weekend. Situated in the heart of Playa d’en Bossa, it boasts four rooms to play in; the Spektrum, the Basement, the Terrace and the Beach. The club is even equipped with a cinema room. No expense has been spared.
Bringing two massive north and south clubbing tribes together, we’ll be taking over Monday nights at the venue throughout July and August – with our first exclusive party set for July the 4th. Independence Day for some people but Ravedependence Day for Ibiza’s faithful.

‘The Template' marks the coming of age of Hammond master James Taylor as he enters his 25th year at the forefront of the world jazz funk scene. His band, The James Taylor Quartet are an act that have toured world-wide consistently since their launch in 1986 developing a large following and in the process opening doors for many other British acts, and becoming a by-word for integrity, musicianship, showmanship and bankability. A remarkable achievement for an act that defies mainstream categorisation and which operates in a thoroughly independent and autonomous way. This album reflects the intensity of their highly acclaimed live shows with the opening cinematic style title track ‘The Template', a tune which crystallises the best of British TV and film music and then seriously switches on the heat. Taylors Hammond work ramps up the tension alongside award winning flautist ‘Gareth Lockrane' all set to a searing groove that throws down the gauntlet to all challengers. This is heavy modern instrumental music at its best delivered by an act that is on top of its game and clearly enjoying them selves. Add to the mix the soulful angelic voice of UK's great white hope ‘John Turrell' and JTQ lay back into a mesmeric mellow groove with the anthemic emotionally charged ‘Woman' this album never lets up the intensity with subtle and yet powerfully dynamic musicianship. With these scenes of easy-going summer days, Raphaël Marionneau opens the 7th issue of his legendary compilation series to continue his musical journey through the seasons. The last chapter "le café abstrait vol. 6" was about spring („le printemps") and autumn („l’automne"). This time, the "father of couch culture" , takes us to the summer ("l’été") and winter ("l’hiver"). "le café abstrait" is a high-contrast double album full of new pearls of the international down-tempo scene – ranging from spheric electronica to more classic shades – inviting to relax and dream.

We are happy to announce, that we will distribute Snork and its sublabels from now on. Snork Enterprises is Techno from A-Z, a mixture of minimal Techhouse and Techno. Some snorky beats here and some crunchy drums there, melodies driven by a deep snyth bassline, atmosphere created by music of spheres. Snork Enterprises aims on beeing played in the maintime or the end of a party, refreshing every afterhour or to get listen while you need to relax with some good electronic music. It shall be a base for modern underground electronic techno music. Artists in charge are for example Jens Zimmermann, DS, Keinzweiter, Eyeone or Paradroid as listed in our friends section. Relax2000 is the new sublabel of Snork Enterprises. It shall be orientated much more on straighter Techno beats than on Snork Enterprises for which the plan is, to be still the base for different techno styles. The third label run by the Snork Enterprises crew is FEINWERK Records. FEINWERKs style could be described as modern experimental underground Techno with a mixture of industrial or minimal influences and a little apocalyptic touch. Artists who released on Feinwerk are for example Neil Landstrumm, Dave Tarrida, Tobias Schmidt, Syntax Error, Mark Hawins, Digital Princezz, Nice, Le K, Pakt etc. etc... who still keep the underground flame alive!!! This on top of his immaculate mixing skills and superb choice of records keeps him internationally in demand as a respected dj/producer for well over a decade.
