This outstanding piece from Jackie Misfit, based on polyphonic singing technique called "jodel" and articulated together with the dance, Pigmy music has much in common with contemporary dance music. With variety of drums, whistles, harps, instruments built of coconut shells, animal skins and sanza wood by Pigmies and vocals recorded in Congo rainforest during the tribal rituals. Basic repetitive patterns, vocals and instruments used in this production are original.
