Sebastian Krieg and studio partner Roman Freihoff have just finished a bunch of productions and remixes for Housesession and Peppermint Jam, including the groundbreaking"That Night"(Peppermint Jam) in summer 2008, which became a mainstay in all DJ charts, and just recently they did a remix for Interplay`s"Closer"on Witty Tunes that charted into Beatports Top 10 immediately. In other words, it has been a busy year for Shik Stylko and 2009 will become even better for this unresting production and DJ team. Once it all kicked off for Shik Stylko when they released"Groove You Out Tonight"alongside house legend Tyree Cooper in 2002. It was released on Realbasic Recordings and elevated Sebastian and Roman to become one of the most in demand producers, remixers and DJs of 2002. The track reached a top number 8 position in the Mixmag Hype Charts in UK. Remixed by Grant Nelson & Brian Tappert it was again well received in the record stores in 2003."Groove you out tonight"became a real underground club anthem and received massive support from the biggest dance superstars like Pete Tong, Ben Watt, Stonebridge, Brian Tappert, Grant Nelson, Hardsoul, Roger Sanchez, Alex Neri, Armand Van Helden, and Erick Morillo to name a few...and was licensed for compilations to Defected, Azuli, Ministry of Sound, Mn2s, Om, Bargrooves, Penthouse and for Playstation. Many other labels and producers came along to get Shik Stylko remixes for their releases like Mateo & Matos, Hardsoul, Roland Clark, Soul Avengerz, Deep Josh, 7th District, Bobbie D´Ambrosio (Soulfuric). It's been a steady rise for Shik Stylko from securing their residency at the infamous M1 in Stuttgart from 1995 to 2002 - the place where their ability to command and rock a dancefloor has since been both tested and truly perfected and lead to joint club sessions with Masters at Work, DJ Pierre, Roger Sanchez, Dimitri from Paris, Erick Morillo, Ian Pooley and Erik Rug. In 2002 with a soaring profile and a growing fan base, Sebastian and Roman launched Realbasic Recordings with a studio located in Munich Germany - initially as an output for their own production. And as a matter of course the studio provides the base to work independently on their well- respected Shik Stylko sound. It was in early 2007 when Jimpster recognised the potential of Shik Stylko in signing them instantly to Freerange Records to release their brilliant"Minion". With this release Sebastian and Roman had found the perfect balance between underground and bigroom style, not to mention the sound quality, which makes them stand out. Djing almost every weekend non-stop, Shik Stylko`s versatile sets keep the crowds electrified, and no matter how many times you see them play, you will rarely hear the same track twice! Their ability to connect with the crowd is fierce, and it is as if they read your mind when you hear the next big hook or bass drop of a track you`ve been waiting for all night to hear. You can virtually feel the passion, dedication and energy they put into the music. Their sets are a real musical journey that range from driving techy sounds through to deep progressive main room beats.
