Gin Joints & Young Ivy - Biography
Back in 2004 Gin Joints and Young Ivy was living on different continents. Still are. Ivy had moved from Luleå, north Sweden, to the US for high school studies and then later on Dartmouth College. At the end of the summer of 2004 Ivy came back to Luleå for a 3 week holiday with family and friends. That became his conjugal visit with the music writing and recording this whole EP in only those 3 weeks. Gin had no studio back then so sitting on the floor in the hallway of David the Saint and Oskar's apartment in Örnäset they recorded it all. Ivy was squeezed into the closet with a mic. After Ivy then left for the US Gin got some guest verses recorded by Planet Asia and Kashal-tee. And mixed the record. Now we can finally share their Conjugal visit.
