Gin Joints - Biography
Gin Joints started DJ:ing age 11 thinking it would get him girls. He was wrong but found a love for the music instead. After the first few failed break in raves he hit puberty and finally got some 1210's. He started making beats and recording tracks. Eventually releasing a 12" with swedish rapper Zacke earning a nationwide hit with "Anna på galej". They played out all over Sweden the following winter and finished of with a gig on Swedens then largest summer festival, Hultsfred. He followed it up with 2 more english Hip Hop releases with rappers Young Ivy(of Blänk) and Kid Colt. He also recorded a track with famous american rapper Planet Asia and another with Grand Agent. But at the same time a b-boy friend introduced him to the 80's funk and it was pulling him in. When none of the rappers and singers he knew understood what he was doing he found himself writing he's first bars on the cellphone. The next night he sung it in and that track is now to be the title track of he's debut solo 12" "Know the ledge".
