Christian Hawk - Biography
Dj Christian Hawk was born in Ribeirao Preto in 1981 and went to live in Sao Paulo when he was less than a year old. Enjoying good music from an early age, he came into contact with a whole range of records he used to listen to with his father... Getting to know bands such as New Order, Information Society, Prodigy and Apollo 44, Hawk began his professional journey into the eletronic scene. Working as a professional Dj since 2000, Hawk has played gigs in the best brazilian venues and was the resident dj in the best clubs including D-Edge, SPKZ, Clash Club, Vegas and the now closed Lov.E Club. He is often seen playing the most important gigs in Brazil and with this passion for eletronic music he kept moving on ... Motivated mainly by experimental eletronic music, Hawk started to develop his own sound in the year of 2002 and despite being a huge fan of Karlheinz Stockhausen, he got inspiration for his own tracks by absorbing the beats of jazz, bossa nova, rock'n roll , reggae and soul. His latest productions was supported by Danny Tenaglia, Mendo, Wally Lopez, Bushwacka, Karotte, Martin Eyerer, Tim Green, Cocodrills, Kolombo, X-Press 2, Jesse Voorn, Okain and Jim Rivers just to mention a few. Organizing the best events of his time, he put together the famous "Blow Up!" party in its first three years of existence, not to mention "Tech me Up!", "Get FunkY!" and the private party "InovatioN". Being a huge success, all of those parties were each based on unique concepts, always aiming to make the public undergo new experiences. In 2008 , Christian Hawk was able to start making two more of his dreams come true . With help from his partner Raoni Kirschner and always aiming to spread brand new high quality music, he created "High Definition Records" - always investing in up and coming talents. In April 2009,"High Definition Records" released its first EP " Movingstones EP" by the duo Oblivion. In less than 4 days from its release the album reached number 29 on the best selling albums of minimal category. Meanwhile, Hawk , Kirschner and Trends Management created a new project bringing the best and original artists to events happening both in Brazil and around the world. With a very selected casting, Trends carefully supports the career progressions of every one of its artists,always making sure they are in the right place according to their skills and making sure that they have a bright future working as an artist.
