Ben Jaimen - Biography

From a very early age his parents noticed his apparent love for melody and music, his greatest passion. He began piano lessons at the age of six, which proved to play a key role in his life. In his teenage years he developed a love for improvisation and song writing and has written literally hundreds of songs since. He is completely involved in the creative and recording process, directing it with absolute precision – "from seed to fruit". Like so many other young talents in the world, Ben Jaimen was influenced by popular culture and all its musical royalty. Artists such as The Beatles, Michael Jackson, James Taylor, Burt Bacharach, Bob Dylan and Randy Crawford, to name a few, have all had incredible influence on him. These "Beacons of Light in musical history" are important to understanding Ben Jaimen as a person and as a singer/songwriter. Known as a balladier, he reaches back to the "Motown" era to find his motivation on his latest project. This era's sound and style is the focus for "Ben Jaimen", the title of the EP to be released on October 28, 2011 on I Tunes and other music engines. Comprised of material recently recorded live at the famous Hansa Studios in Berlin, Germany, Ben paints his vision for a better world masterfully in 5 of the 12 recorded songs, plus 2 bonus tracks. Together with his 8 piece band he will perform all of his latest tracks live at the Ellington's beautiful … lounge, celebrating the release of his debut recordings.
